Welcome to NMS!
School hours are 8:20am - 2:50pm. Please arrive no later than 8:10am to avoid lateness to homeroom.
Attendance Policies
All students should wear their school issued ID badge each day. It should be visible while they are in school.
If your child will be absent, late, or dismissed early, please contact the attendance office. You can also send a note with your child to bring to the main office.
There is No Place For Hate at NMS

In just a few weeks, our 8th grade students will be moving on to high school, but first we must honor them on Wednesday, June 24th with our 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 9:00am with an arrival time of 8:15am for students. Details about tickets and seating will be sent to families in the near future.

On Thursday June 5, fourteen North Middle School 7th and 8th graders made school history by being the first ever members inducted into the International Thespian Honor Society, Troupe 12014.

Congratulations on 4th place Brian! This was the second time Brian represented Long Island at the National Spelling Bee. He first competed as a sixth grader in 2023, where he finished in 23rd place. Both years, his journey to the national stage started by winning the annual NMS Spelling Bee.

On May 20th North Middle school student Taji Wilson was honored by the Anti-Defamation League and No Place for Hate as the Middle School Cynthia Marks School Legacy Award winner.
