There was one last set of honors for the North Middle Math Team this legendary season. First, Dr. Boyt was honored - at the annual awards dinner for the New York State Society of Professional Engineers - for coaching the NY State Team to a third place finish at the 2024 National Competition. Additionally, the North Middle Team was honored for creating a challenging competition - Are You Smarter Than A Mathlete? - in which the NY State Team competed against a team of accomplished engineers in a Jeopardy-style battle, complete with buzzers! Needless to say, the mathletes won easily.

This was a year of winning. To recap, while some schools are fortunate to win awards in one, two, or three competitions, the North Middle Math Team won awards in five:

1) AMC 8

2) Math Olympiads

3) Math League

4) Mathcounts

5) Purple Comet Math Meet

More importantly, the team built relationships that will hopefully last a lifetime - with their teammates, & their opponents.
